No Church In The Wild

One of my great-grandfathers was the son and grandson of Baptist ministers.  He went to seminary thinking he'd follow in their footsteps, but somewhere along the way he decided organized religion was hokum.  He also decided that the only place to worship the Creator was outside in the Creation and not inside a building made by men.  I can remember hearing stories about how he'd march his children down to the river every Sunday morning, read a verse from the Bible, then deliver a sermon on the virtues of clean living, the evils of mammon or the equality of all men in the eyes of the Creator.

I always liked that Great-Grandpa believed the path to divinity could only be found in the natural world.  This song isn't really about that, but then again it kind of is.  The original was done by Kanye West and Jay-Z, but I prefer this version by Phil Manzanera and The Sound Of Blue.
