Welcome to our new feature... Album of the Week. This will be the Wednesday feature until Hansjurg returns... if he returns... or until I get tired of doing it.
This week's feature was released fifty years ago last March. An album that satirized American culture and the counterculture, cops and hippies, pop music and The Beatles, it was my introduction to Frank Zappa and his band of pranksters, The Mothers of Invention. Let's just say those Mothers blew my little school girl mind.
So crank up the volume and have a good laugh. If you feel like posting a song... any song... go for it. Doesn't have to be a song by Zappa. Doesn't even have to be Rock 'N Roll.
