A Bit Of History For This Monday In December

It's been said that The Velvet Underground only sold 1,000 albums when they were still playing together, but that every single one of those albums were purchased by other musicians, which is how they became such a major influence on the music scene in spite of never hitting the big time.  .

On this date in 1965, The Velvet Underground played their first show, opening for another band at a high school in New Jersey.  They played three songs that night; There She Goes Again, Heroin and this one...

Gotta wonder what those high school kids were thinking once the band began to play.
